Dear Arkansas Consumer:
Health care quality, access and affordability affect the lives of every Arkansan. Our State suffers when any of its citizens are forced to forego treatment or receive inadequate care. The lack of health care, and problems encountered with the health care system, impact the quality of life for every Arkansan.
In September 2007 I established the Health Care Bureau as part of the Consumer Protection Division. The Bureau will respond to consumer complaints about unfair and deceptive practices by health care organizations, advise the Legislature on health care issues, handle health care-related litigation, and work with state and federal agencies that deal with health care issues.
My office is working hard to help all Arkansans with health care issues. Please do not hesitate to contact my office if you have any questions or problems about any health care issue.
